Being Productive Kicks Ass
I so was moving and shaking today. I picked my Sonnet for my Milton paper AND started on it. The only reason I didn’t finish is because I need some books that are at the library. I shall aquire them soon (since the library was closed today. I did however look up their call numbers so I know exactly where to go).
In addition to schoolwork, I also got a good amount of work for Illindir done, so yay! Made a new lil race/element wheel since the old one was a lil big and the image got a little fuzzy. I sparkled it up a bit. Ashley and Gino seemed to like it <3. I also wrote my new Element page for Beliemedra and Ashley really lurved it. It made me happies on the insides. I also finished and posted the map for my fourth outpost so hurray!
I think I am offically done with Advent. Not that it wasn’t a lovely mud (and I would highly reccomend it) but I just think it moves a little to slow for my personal tastes. Its still in Alpha, so you really can’t complain. I like Illindir a lot… a LOT. The people are uber friendly and things move at a quick pace but not so much so that its like “AHhh I can’t finish this!” I am a lil burnt out today though, so a nice night of sleep will do me well.
Finished the Office season 4 and OMG its hilarious. Seriously, if you don’t watch this series… go… go buy it NOW. Its amazing and freaking HILARIOUS. I managed to beat Gino in the Office Triva game AND topped his high score in Solitate. I feel accomplished because I like winning sometimes. He usually beats me in games like that, I am just happy to have won.
My kitties are doing better. Jasmine is still a little sluggish, but shes moving around more. She usually slept all day anyway so its not a big change from how she usually is.
Happy National Theft Day!
This holiday makes me giggle. Its, in essence, the celebration of our religious crazy forefathers stealing the land from the Native Americans (not sharing, stealing) and claiming “Well, God said it was ok.” It just makes me snicker. Don’t get me wrong, I love sitting around and eating turkey and being all bloated, I just find it hilarious we are essentially celebrating theft.
Hrmm… I suppose I should say the things I am thankful for though.
- My Gino. Without him my life would be empty. Hes my soulmate and I love him with all my heart. *snugs her hubby*
- My family. As crazy/annoying as they are, I still love ‘em and I’ll miss them when I move ![]()
- My friends. Even though I don’t get to see them much at all (due to either distance issues or just lack of time) I am grateful to have them. Who else am I going to call screaming about Pajama Weddings and monsters in my closet?
- Illindir. As silly as it sounds, I really like this new mud. Its a fresh start where I can keep myself occupied and be constructive. It’s really given me a creative outlet for my writting and introduced to me to several charming people.
-My cats! Yes yes, call me that crazy cat lady, but I love my babies. I am still a little sad that my poor little Jasmine is still sore from her recovery, but shes getting better.
Well wasn’t that fun <3.
My babies are ok!
We got Pino and Jasmine back from the vet bright and early today (I insisted we pick them up as soon as we could, 9am). Pino seems no worse for wear, in fact, you can hardly tell she had anything done. Shes bouncing off the walls and having a grand old time. We have to try and keep her sitting so she doesn’t pull open anything. Jasmine was not so lucky. Since they also repaired the umbilical hemorrhage she had since she was born it made the incision larger. Shes so sore and can’t even jump up onto the bed, we have to pick her up. Shes spent most of theday either curled up on the bed with us while we watched The Office or barricaded herself under the bed and hissed when Pino and Gwen walk by. Gino thinks she’ll bounce back in a couple days. Shes eating and drinking, so that’s good. Wet food was one of the first things she wanted so that’s a good sign.
I have three papers I really need to work on over the break. One is a five page paper on a Milton sonnet (I am going with Sonnet 8), one is a five page paper on the social/political climate when the play The Country Wife was written and preformed, and another is an intense scene analysis (I acctually have to preform the scene in that class too, so I have chosen a Macbeth scene, yay!).
I am going to apply for that job at the library soon soon. It was nice having a little time to myself, but I need to bring in some monies! I would really love that job, seeing as I can work well alone or with others, I like organizing things and I love books! All seems perfect, now if I can only get the job!
So my buddy/online co-worker (lolz) Ashley is planning to come down for her birthday and visit. I am pleased muchly! We are going to have a big anime weekend blowout. I think I am going to make an anime quiz and other games, round up some prizes and have a grand ole time. Now we just need more anime nerds >.>
Gino and I are slowly getting better. Its a little rough sometimes, but what relationship isn’t? Its creepy if you never fight about anything, someone always ends up dead and in pieces somewhere.
Rawr!
Ugg, I think this is my… fourth time trying to do a blog. Maybe I’ll keep up with it this time (lol maybe, but its doubtful knowing how often I forget stuff like this). ANYWAY, onward with the bloggy goodness!
Sooo… uhhhh… *ponders* Gino and I have been hitting a rough patch. Nothing major, just that “I live with you and you are in my space… REMOVE YOURSELF! Hey where are you going!?” Marriage. Its crazy, but I love it. I know Gino and I will get through this, we just have to be able to work out our differences. I guess my problem is that it takes time and I am not terribly patient. Ohh well.
I miss my kitties… its only Gwen here right now. Jasmine and Pino have gone off to the vet to be fixed. I called and they said both of them were doing well. Jasmine is so going to be pissed when she gets home… shes a bitchy kitty, but I love her. It needed to be done, both for potential unwanted kittens, and for their health. I think Gwen misses Pino… maybe not Jasmine so much. Jasmine just chases them and hisses when shes done playing tag. I think she sees them more as toys than friends, but then again, I think that’s how she sees Gino and I.
School… so glad its Thanksgiving break. No class! Hellz yesssss! What shall I do on my time off you ask? Well, I will work on papers, ponder/tinker with mudding things and take care of my kitties. How exciting! I don’t really have a lot of friends here, and the ones I do have always seem to be busy. I am looking forward to moving, simply for the fact Gino’s friends are out there, and I know they aren’t super busy all the time. Someone to play with, YES!
Been working on finding a new job. I just get lazy about it I guess. I really don’t want another retail/sales job. I hate it. I want a job at the library. I hope I can get one.
Illindir kicks ass btw. Its the new mud I have been working/staffing on. That’s right, you’re talking to Belimedra, Earth Element and PUNISHER OF SOULS. Not that punisher of souls part, but the rest is true. I am having a lot of fun and I lurves the staff oodles!
