It’s Official.
I didn’t get that job at Target. Great. On a bright-ish note, I am almost guarenteed a job in October at Game Point, however, thats quite a ways off. Hopefully I can at least find a temp job before then, that would be nice.
Damn.
Its just been a bad few days…
Still waiting to hear back from Target, so its not really bad news, its just waiting news. Hopefully I can get that job because I neeeeeeeeed it badly.
Got Suikoden 2 and guess what: It doesn’t work. It freezes at the first battle, how great. Now I have to ship it back, get my refund, and either buy a different copy or buy something else. I don’t know what to do, I am just so frustrated about it.
My friend had to put down one of his dogs and I feel terrible for him. I know how animals can become a major part of your life. We’ve had the cats for a long while now and they are part of our family and I could never never never give them up, they are my precious little babies… even if Jasmine bites me.
Hopefully the days shall get better soon… that would be good.
The Waiting Game
So I had my interview and it went really well. They said it was down to me and two other people and they would call within the next couple days if I got the job. I really hope I did because I want that job really really badly.
I think Suikoden II is sitting in the mailbox, I am just waiting for Gino to get home and we’ll go check it out. He may be working at Pia’s tonight *sigh* I was hoping to spend the evening with him just having fun and watching him playing Suikoden II. I like spending time with my hubby, and lately I just feel like we only watch TV next to each other, and we never really have time together. If he has to work, he has to work I guess.
Boooring
So we ended up playing DnD but what a snorefest. We rolled and split up items, only to decide it was just easier to give the item to the player it was intended to go to since some of them were player-specific items (since we are all still low level). Then everyone had to update their character. We literally didn’t progress the story at all in the three hours everyone has been here. I guess its really showing Gino’s and I’s difference in gaming. He likes stat crunching and stacking the best items to find the best combination. I like RP, thats it. The battles hold no real interest for me at all. Ohh well, hes the DM so I don’t really have a choice.
My interview is in 9 hours so I am heading to bed pretty soon. I am so excited and I really hope that I get the job. That would be really really great! Wish me luck everybody!
I’m a bad girl >.>
I need to stop looking at houses to buy in Portsmouth. I want my own house! I want to paint it and rip up carpet! I want something thats ours, but its going to be a while before we can ever move out there (at the least a year since we signed our lease for that long). *sigh* Ahhh well, its ok, one day Gino and I will have our own little home and I shall have my puppy! I want a smaller dog this time, because I want to take it in my car with me and be that person who always has her dog. I either want a sheltie, a welsh corgi or a papillon. They are all sweat lil dogs… I want the corgi the most… name it Ein and be like “My dog can drive a car!” Not really, I wouldn’t let it drive… but I might tell people I did…. mwahahaha.
So I am waiting to hear back from an Amazon seller, and if all goes well I am buying Gino a neat lil present within the next few days. I won’t say what it is, but I know he’ll like it. He better at least, or he shall be PUNISHED. Not really.
I think we are playing DnD tonight and I am so excited! I can’t wait! Only a few more hours and then… then I get to pwn! I muticlassed for a feat and so now I have a neat Druid power: I can change into an animal (small or medium sized) and I even have an attack: Pounce. I rock hardcore. I wish I was bigger so I could turn into a bear and scare the shit out of my team-mates. Ohh well, but Gino did remind me that panthers count as medium… MWHAHAHAHAHAHA. I wanna sneak into a tent as a panther and scare the crap out of my team. Delnic (Gino) is so going to be first.
Interview tomorrow! I am so very very excited and I want this job!
Job Interview!
Hurray! I have a job interview on Thursday at Target! Wish me luck everybody because I could REALLY use this job, especially if its full-time. I’ll end up working late and working on Sundays so it may make playing D&D harder, but we’ll figure something out. We’ll just have to plan around my schedule which won’t be a problem. It’ll be SOOO nice to be getting paychecks so Gino can take it a little easy for a bit and take some days off. He needs a good rest.
So, I have no idea what this means for Otakon. It would probably not be good to take off a weekend RIGHT when I start working, so perhaps its best just to have Ashley head down here. I need to call her today when she gets home from work. We can have fun at my house by watching a BUNCH of anime, surf around on cosplay.com and look at people dressed up and do some online browsing. Not the same as Otakon, but maybe next year.
So my one year wedding aniversary is coming up soon and I have no idea what to get for Gino. I am not really sure what exactly he wants as he is one of the HARDEST people to buy for. I ask him “Ohh do you like this?” “No.” “Well what about something like this?” “Nope.” “Well then what DO you want.” “I dunno…. I don’t need anything, don’t worry about it.” GAH! Boys. So annoying.
Dungeons and Dragons is fun, but the battles are not my favorite thing in the whole world. Gino likes them though, and he is the Dungeon Master, so I guess I have to suck it up. He includes RP too, so its not so bad.
Yay clean kitchen!
SO I spend 4 hours cleaning up my kitchen and I don’t think its EVER been this clean. I have one cluttered countertop and to mop the floor but otherwise everything is neat and tidy in my kitchen. I feel accomplished. I don’t think its looked that nice since… well either when we moved in or when relatives came to visit for the wedding, either way, its been quite sometime and I like it being clean.
Still in search of a job, but on a good note I did put together a very spiffy resume so hopefully that will help me secure a job. I need to find one soon because poor Gino is working himself to death and I want him to be able to take it easy for a little while.
Otakon 2009 is not looking too good for us and it makes me sad…. me being out of work means we have just enough to pay the bills, so theres literally no extra monies. *sigh* I wish we could go, but its not looking too promising at the moment, but things can change if I can land a job soon. Otherwise it will still be nice to have Ashley in town for a week and we can have our own little anime convention in my living room.
This is so neat!
Ok, so I stumbled across http://www.moviecollectorplus.com/ and this is probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen. I have a huge DVD collection of all sorts of things: movies, TV shows, animes etc.. and its a PAIN to keep it all organized and remember everything I have. I’ve filled up half a bookshelf with this stuff and then there are stacks sitting around. Now I found this website and I can add all my movies on their little list and it helps me organize all my stuff. The best part? People (including my friends) can make their own and we can see each others collections, and even put in requests to borrow each others stuff. Now while I’ll probably just call the person, its really cool you can see your friends lists too. I’ll have to sign up for one soon!
Anyway, what else has been going on. We’ve got a friend of ours staying with us and its been fun. He’s really considerate and not a bother at all, he even helps around the house, which is always nice.
Still looking for a job, and I am still keeping my fingers crossed for the Hobby Lobby job. They are hiring at the end of the month so I still have hope. I am going to turn in a resume to go along with my already submitted application and check on how much longer til they hire. I would love a job there, it would be ideal. They have the perfect hours and I love all the neat stuff they sell.
So we signed another year lease, so we’ll be here til at least next summer, but hopefully then we’ll move out to Virginia. Maybe even have enough for a house <3. I can dream at least.
Tonight is Dungeons and Dragons night, woohoo! Hopefully my cute lil gnome cleric won’t die.
Combing the Internet
So in my travels through the wide world of internet I stumbled across this link: http://blog.monitis.com/index.php/2009/06/05/saas-versus-on-promise-software-wysiwyg-principle/
I think its kinda nifty that there is finally a company thats not trying to rip people off with software and shows you exactly how products work instead of some unreal demonstration of what something might do. Its that kind of advertising that makes me feel uneasy about buying any kind of software I haven’t personally used myself, since i hate paying money for something that either doesn’t work how I thought it did, or just plain does do what I need. I like this type of technology thats not out to rip the customer off.
